Returning after it's stunning sucess last year the Grand Hogmany Ball is the premier event of the year at Smiths Hotel. With spectacular entertainment, good food and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere it's the only way to spend your Hogmany.

You'll be welcomed by our friendly staff with a capapes and Champagne in the bar before being piped to your table in our fabulous Silver suite for a sumptuous 3 course meal. After dinner music from our superb band and familiar party tunes from our resident DJ whisk you through the closing hours of 2009. A complimentary glass of Champagne sets the scene for the big moment... The lights dim, the clock strikes and our very own Lone Piper brings in the New Year in spectacular style. Then with the formalities over it's on with the party till the wee sma' hours of 2010.

Set on a golden Crouton, smothered with wild Pate and drizzled with a Madeira sauce

All served with Fresh Winter Vegetables & Fondant Potatoes

Double Chocolate Mousse
Light mousse with chocolate sponge, topped with chocolate sauce and flaked dark chocolate

Please Note :

No children under 16 years of age are permitted at the Gala Ball.

Persons under the age of 18 years may not consume or purchase alcohol. We reserve the right to ask for identification and to refuse service to anyone apparently under 21.

Dress code : Smart casual or traditional Scottish. No jeans, t-shirts, trainers or similar please.

We regret that this event is held in our first floor function rooms. As we do not currently have a lift please be aware that the event may not be suitable for persons of limited mobility.

Strobe lights, pyrotechnics & theatrical fog effects will be used during the event.
